Bahu Begum

Zeenat (Meena Kumari) is the lovely daughter of a minor dignitary in Lucknow. She is secretly in love with a neighbour, Nawab Yusuf (Pradeep Kumar). Due to a series of tragic mistakes, Zeenat is married off to Nawab Sikandar Mirza (Ashok Kumar), who has fallen passionately in love with her. Zeenat runs away from the marriage ceremony in search of Yusuf, but a terrible disappointment awaits her. She does not find Yusuf and returns home. Here, her furious father throws her out of the house. In despair, she turns to Sikandar Mirza….
