Big on hair, little on quality, Barbarian Queen is a decent example of the trash exploitation films that tapped into the mid-80s fantasy market. Filled to the brim with cheesy dialogue, lame action scenes, copious nudity and nonsensical plot, this one will certainly appeal to fans of the genre. There is not really much to talk about because the film just plods along at its own pace but there are bits and pieces that B-movies fans may appreciate (continuity errors, plot holes etc). The fact that its running time is just over 70 minutes helps when watching this film but I imagine most people will struggle to stay with it even for that length of time. 3 out of 5.
