The subject matter for this Barbie offering is being true to yourself in high school. Whist it's a good topic for a film, most older girls facing the sorts of issues being presented in this cartoon would not touch a Barbie film with a bargepole! My 6 year old who still likes Barbie didn't really understand the topics presented, so I had to watch it and discuss this latest Barbie offering with her.
Okay, a bit of disbelief and the standard teen comedy/ romance plot of best boy mate fancies lead character whilst she fancies somewhere else. Sometimes this movie made me cringe at times following a teenage Barbie and her friends. Playing upon Bridget's Jones Dairy title... things come true when written down thanks to a mysterious shopkeeper.
Not as good as the CGI movies where Barbie is an adult.
