This was the third follow-up to Tim Burton's Batman (1989), the original revisionist look at the Gotham City legend, as well as the second in the Batman series directed by Joel Schumacher and the first featuring George Clooney as the Caped Crusader; it features not one but two super-villains, and a new heroine to fight crime alongside Bruce Wayne (aka Batman) and Dick Grayson (aka Robin) (Chris O'Donnell). The experiments of Dr. Victor Fries (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to preserve his late wife cryogenically have gone horribly wrong, turning him into the evil genius Mr. Freeze, who must keep his body at sub-zero temperature in order to say alive -- and he wants to put Gotham City on ice. Shy horticulturist Pamela Isley (Uma Thurman) goes a bit wild with a Venus Fly Trap-like creation she's been working on and mutates into Poison Ivy, who wants to kill all the people on Earth so plants can take over. Can Batman and Robin stop these fiends before their plans go too far? Meanwhile, Bruce and Dick's faithful butler Alfred (Michael Gough) isn't feeling well, so his niece Barbara (Alicia Silverstone) comes to pay a visit. When Barbara finds out what her uncle's employers do in their spare time, she decides she wants in on the action, and she joins the crime fighting twosome as Batgirl. don't be afraid to use your nails boys!

Batman and robin is one of the worst films ever made. Period. It is so bad that you find yourself watching it in horror for 2 hours. Its like watching a car accident unfold, you cant tear your eyes away. Joel Schumacher destroyed the batman movies which had started so brilliantly and so darkly with Tim Burton's original Batman. Its not unlike the 60's tv series for shear campness though i think that show realised that it was a load of crap.

Many questions arise when watching batman and robin. How did george clooney revive his career after starring in this? Why the hell did anyone ever think that chris o'donnal and alicia silverstone were decent actors? (whats up with her accent?!?) And where did i leave my shotgun? If you ever plan to do anything bad watch this movie beforehand, because they'll be playing it on a continuous loop in hell...

"Cool Film" - Mr. Freeze :)

I have seen a lot of reviews saying that this film is 'babyish'. Well I would say that maybe the people saying that are 'babies'! Do you think this film does not know it is ridiculous! Why does Bat Man always have to be so serious and boring. Is it because you are a man child who loves his child hood of comic books ! In the films of Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan the Bat Man is always solving crimes by looking serious at dark buildings. Here he is solving them by telling jokes and 'BIFF' 'BANG' 'POW' saving the day! If this was Austen Powers people would be recognising this is ironic humour but because it is the famous Bat Man they are blind. Mysterious.

Brilliant don't know how Arnie didn't win an Oscar!

Everything else is is shocking apart from Mr Freeze, wow what a guy.

perfect example of how NOT to make a movie

I don't know what they were thinking ,did they see this as some sort of comedy/kid's movie.the acting is terrible ,the cast is full of good actors but they have been terribly miscast and that shows ,just awful everything.it's feels cringe-worthy and disgusting like you want be sick.

feels like a pantomime,a kiddish movie riddled with mistakes

the gadgets are like toys,best way to describe it is the next level up from a school play where they done the set themselves and painted the props

Thank god for batman begins THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO MAKE BATMAN
