Utterly Brilliant....
By Mark from Berkshire , 17 Jun 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
Having just returned from the cinema, I felt I had to write a review for Hollywood's best blockbuster in ages. Batman Begins is, as you would expect, a film that depicts how Bruce Wayne became the 'Bat'. The film has a fantastic mix of action, storytelling and homur that keeps the pace chopping along nicely. The special FX are excellent and the Bat-Mobile is just cool. I have to admit, the one thing that I thought stood out the most is the very dark nature of the film (which it should be!), it worked really well and there were some moments that younger viewers or those of a sensitive nature might find a bit spooky. The cast list was top notch, as was the acting and directing. All in all, I have not enjoyed a trip to the cinema as much in a long time and I would strongly urge you to see this on the big screen. However, no matter when or where you simply must watch this film... its the best blockbuster that Hollywood has produced in a very long time - very highly recommended ;o)- Was this review helpful to you?

Grippingly Great
By AVSheard (87 reviews) , 09 May 2013I expected this to be about a superhero fighting various baddies every where he went with no plot. I could not have been more wrong. After ten minutes I was hooked with a well thought through and presented plot with a nice balance of action and character development all the way through. The action was great with lot of special effects that keep it looking realistic and lot of criminals for Batman to beat up. Two villains worked nicely as there was always one at large which kept the sense of danger ever present. This is a great film that I am sure you will enjoy although it has some dark scenes.- Was this review helpful to you?

A franchise that lacks surprises
By a customer , 01 May 2013It's a case of watching something because it's a franchise. Franchises lack surprises on the whole. The best sequence was the opening one.- Was this review helpful to you?
