    [Highly rated reviewer]

On the surface this game promises much, it has the look of the 60's slightly camp Batman TV series coupled with the characters from the reasonably well known animated Batman cartoons, unfortunately that is where all similarities end, the screen appears in letterbox format even on a HD TV and the animation is frankly below par by todays expectations, the gameplay quickly becomes tiresome and repetetive. The amount of different combinations/moves available is impressive if perhaps bordering on the ridiculous, this tends to detract somewhat from the players enjoyment as you spend most of your time trying to remember how to pull off many of the moves available to your character.

Overall, disappointing. Rent or buy Lego Batman instead !

I'm not the biggest Batman fan in the world but I really enjoyed this 2D platformer/beat em' up, based upon the 'Brave and the Bold' animated series. The gameplay is fast and fun, controls are easy to get to grips with and it's looks just like the cartoon. The voice acting is superb, with some greant banter between Batman and his allies to listen to while you're playing The game also caters for all audiences as you can't die. Instead you respawn at the place where you fainted, but you do loose coins you've collected along the way. Defintley worth a look-in, whether you're a casual player, a hardcore gamer or just fancy reliving the Streets of Rage days.
