By NavB (17 reviews) , 09 Aug 2012i actually liked this, the title is split into five stories, not really related to each other, but nice little snippets of batman in different styles (drawn by different artists no doubt)
first story was kind of a bore, but then the others come at you nicely.
good way of portraying the bat in so many ways, worth a watch and obviously something you can do in your own time as they are split up into small chunks.
had a slight anime feel to it so you can understand they easily captured the mysteriousness of the bat as well as making him feel very dark knighty which we all love and aspire to be.- Was this review helpful to you?

Animatrix in a Black Cape - Grim, Simple and Briliant

Writing is grim, simple and exploratory - in the style of old good Batman Black&White comic book series from 90s. And here I was thinking that they didn't make movies like this one any more.
Animation-wise it is anime, rather than traditional American/Euro animation. A lot of artist-specific features and drawing styles might not suit the non-connoisseurs.
Definitely a worthy and fresh addition to animated batman world.- Was this review helpful to you?
