The animation is very smooth and the characterisation true to the classic magazine. The storyline is believable in context and the plot twists are not telegraphed ahead of time so that near the end when the question of "Who is Batwoman" is answered it is still a suprise. Overall I enjoyed film and look forward to more in the series.
Anyone who is a true fan of the Dark Knight should forget the big screen adaptations and revel in these animated versions. Kevin switches between pampered billionaire Bruce Wayne and the tortured vigilante that is Batman is a tour de force of vocal acting skills. And all the other characterisations are similarly spot on.
The plot is multilayered and thoughtful, giving roles to old favourites, as well as introducing new characters.
I just hope that the producers up coming Batman Begins are paying close attention, nobody wants another Batman and Robin.
