A Golden Oldie
By Stephen Williams from North England , 07 Jul 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
Ok, I've got a bit of a bias, I first watched this film when I was about 8 and it always stuck in my mind. Basically the film is about cute little Spaceships helping out a defenceless old couple who are trying desperately to keep a hold of their cafe. The film manages encompass elements of romance, lots of comedy, and deals with violence, and demensia too. For me this film just has a bit of everything and think it should be something everyone has watched at least once. If you liked ET or Flight of the Navigator then you're bound to like this film. I'd say watch it, even if you're just a little bit curious! Go on, you know you want to! :D- Was this review helpful to you?

A lovely film for anyone with a heart!

I watched this years ago with my two young sons and I'm not sure who enjoyed it most. We all had a few wobbly bottom lip moments and we certainly all ended up with big grins on our faces. Recommended for an evening curled up in front of the fire with someone you love - young or old, they're all guaranteed to enjoy this little gem!- Was this review helpful to you?

Who needs batteries?
By Emjay69 (327 reviews) from Kidlington, Oxford , 07 Dec 2011A good family film about a load of nonsense. If only life could be so idyllic as to have an Armada of aliens to assist.
I've not seen the film before so I didn't know what to expect so I was very pleasantly surprised. My only regret is not having children to watch it with.
Good film: Worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?

THE best film ever made. Simple.
By SteveC24 (25 reviews) from West Kent , 10 Apr 2010This is my favourite film EVER. It is AMAZING. If they ever remake it (which they definately should), they'd better get it right... or heads will roll!
A fantastic family film - suitable for children and adults alike. It is of the generation of fab family films, where there is no swearing, no real violence, and just occasional 'mild threat'!
The little 'aliens' are PERFECT - completely lovable!
Yes, I admit, the hairstyles, and scary fashion is rather out of date now - but equally - the film was released in 1987!
Still thoroughly enjoyable by today's children (and adults) though!- Was this review helpful to you?
