Enjoyably rousing
By itstinks (681 reviews) from North of Reading , 04 Nov 2011An attempt to cover the months when Germany turned its eyes on Britain as the next conquest and needed to have control of the skies before attempting landings.
Mixes historical facts with the drama of life during wartime (skewed to the officer class) and some superb aerial battles.
To get a bigger and more accurate picture of events visit places such as Duxford Imperial War Museum (which was the location for the air base that is attacked) to have a couple of hours of good entertainment watch this film.
Saw this at the cinemas when it came out and the only thing more exciting than the dogfights was (and still is) Susannah York in frilly underwear.- Was this review helpful to you?

Fantastic Film
By a customer , 04 Oct 2011Super film, doesn't show its age at all and looks great in Blue Ray. Accurate depiction of the Battle of Britain, lots of great action scenes, nice imagery of 1940s Britain. Even the polish get a mention!- Was this review helpful to you?
