Shocking
By Goat from London, England , 25 Mar 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
Battle of the brave it is not. I hated the fact the actors switched between french and english when speaking. The film was a bore from start to finish and at over 2 hours long this is one to miss.- Was this review helpful to you?

Avoid. Worst Film I've Seen For A Long Time.
By filmsaremypassion (149 reviews) from Bexhill , 12 Sep 2010Battle Of The Brave is a bad, disappointing and terrible film that I have seen for a long time. Where was the battles? Where were the brave people? Why did it jump from France to England for only three times? And why the hell were Tim Roth and Jason Isaacs in it? That final question still stuns me, both are very good actors so I don't understand why they would choose such a awful script like this? The acting is cringe-worthy, the romance is forced and strained, the ending is weak and is way over long clocking at over two hours. I don't recommend this to anyone unless you like French romantic films but to everyone else, avoid.- Was this review helpful to you?

Battle of the Brave
By noidletalking (8 reviews) from GLASGOW , 15 Sep 2009A classic period drama which uses a French style to tell the story of the French royalist betrayal of Quebec. Some do not like it but i suspect that's because the portrayal of English and American politicians and soldiers is rather more accurate than they can stomach. There's a wee bit of French and subtitled native Canadian not so much that would spoil it for a reasonable audience. If you don't like this film because of the languages I suggest you seek help.- Was this review helpful to you?
