    Bad, just generally bad.

I didn't like this film. But I still want to take issue with the idiots out there who hire Chinese films and then give them a bad review because they had to read sub-titles. If you can't read well enough to follow sub titles that’s YOUR failing and should not reflect on how you rate the film. If because of your aversion to sub- titles you didn’t watch the film or found it hard to watch - don't write a review. Its not a failing of a film to have sub titles. Its a failing with you for not being able to read them!!

    There rant over...

However, as I said before, I didn’t like the film one bit. It was highly unrealistic, the characters were not developed, rather thrown straight at you. The story was clichéd and very unoriginally done. And the corny attempt at ancient wise sayings the characters came out with was at times embarrassing. Having just watched 'Warlords' and thoroughly enjoyed it, this was a major let down in comparison. It gets one and a half stars because it missed being totally awful by a hairs breadth.

If you want to watch a good war epic (and aren't illiterate) get Warlords and give this one a miss.
