I don't know what everyone is complaining about. Sadly i think they are missing the point.
This is awesome. Cute girls with large 'assets' beating the living hell out of eachother?? Yes please!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hell its why the DOA fighting games sell so well.
Sure the animation is a little choppy, the voice acting poor and the story ridiculous and poorly imagined but this doesn't matter.

(7)Knickers and fighting
By a customer from London , 10 Jan 2009Like a combination of Battle Royale and the Final Fantasy series. Battle vignettes linked together by a vaguely mythological theme which only really makes sense if you read the wikipedo article. Apparently their pointy teeth are not just further indulgence after the gratuitous wobbly tits (no nips) and endless (literally) upskirt shots, but to do with them being the reincarnation of Chinese dragon warriors. La Blue Girl is probably better if you want demonic tentacle smut and there are othe better anime for fights. There's no real plot thread or coherent storyline.- Was this review helpful to you?

Yet another...
By a customer from NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE , 24 Jul 2008Yet another variation on the school that seems to be totally devoid of teachers, exams etc. but for some reason is populated by various youth endowed with martial arts, superhuman powers etc - what I cannot understand is why the bad guys in these things are bothering to go to school ! The particular specialism on this one is that if there were a cameraman they'd spending a fair amount of time lying on the floor to get shots of girls knickers.
I only get anime to learn Japanese but even for that I could not endure watching this.- Was this review helpful to you?

By macatsuma (24 reviews) from Elland , 25 Apr 2007tedious in the extreme, this is deep otaku territory, schoolgirls with big hooters getting their clothes punched off, if i hadn't actually rented this myself i would suggest MI5 put the renters on some some of lolicon fan list- Was this review helpful to you?

These girls really love to fight!
By Chibs from South Lanarkshire , 17 Aug 2006Centuries ago, China was divided into 7 provinces, and each was protected by a band of warriors. Some weren't happy with their share, and wanted to control all of China. As each warrior died in the ensuing battle, his soul was captured in a gem, the magatama, and these have been passed down from generation to generation, the wearer recieving the powers of the warrior, and also his destiny. Now, the battle has moved into 7 different high schools in Japan, each competing for dominance.
Combined with the manga and fun.
As far as toning the manga down a little, the only real difference is the girls don't get quite as much enjoyment out of beating the heck out of people (in the manga their clothes explode and they often climax...this happens in the anime, but not as much) and there aren't any nipples on show, but that could well change in future discs, and I for one will cheer.
If you've read the books, then I still think it's worth your time watching the anime. You won't get bored by events being repeated, and you can spend more time enjoying the...art. For those who haven't read the books, this is a really fun series. If you're close to the 15 age rating, don't pop it in while your dad's in the room, though...- Was this review helpful to you?
