******WARNING****** DISC 1 = ''Razor'' (the BSG spin-off film) with extented highlights.

If you have previoulsy rented the film there is not much point in seeing this 1st disc. Yes it has extended highlights, yes it has bonus material... but really it's just fodder to fill the discs for this season due to the writter's strike.

*** Make sure you watch this series from Season 1 ***

Well, that was pretty obvious, but it has to be said just in case! No real point in renting this if you have never seen it before. There is a very large plotline before this season which has got us to this point. Frankly, you'd be missing out big time if you didn't catch up 1st.

And now to those who are loyal follower's of this epic adventure:

This Season wont answer all your questions. In fact 2009/10 will supposedly be the final season. However, if you have got enjoyment like I have over the battle between humankind & Cylon... you wont be dissapointed. Personally, the 2nd half of season 2 was unbeatable. Season 4 however does not loose any of it action or twists. Season 4 has kept me hooked. Apparently there are 10 final episodes from this season, now labelled Season 5.

Clearly this review can only mean one thing, depending which camp you fall into..... * If your hooked on BSG 1,2,3 - this wont let you down, continue your addiction! * If you have never seen BSG, maybe you have been told about it, don't start here... go back, rent season 1,2,3 ... then I'll cya here!

  • Fraking frakkers!

A great series but this use of 'frak' instead of the real F word gets pretty irritating by this point. It's getting still a bit like Father Ted and 'Feck'. Either say it or just don't. They should have just used 'smeg'.

  • Story get a bit disjointed

As you might expect, this series left just as many questions unanswered as it answered, so there is still a lot going on that is not fully explained.

The story lines are as good as ever, but does not seem to have as much depth as the other seasons had. That aide, it was still a very good watch and I would definitely recommend it.

From everyones comments, I will remove Razor from my DVD list.

BSG is great as a series, and I loved every minute of the real episodes, but come on everyone, disc 4 of series 4 is just bonus features and endless YAWN!

  • Bit Mystic

I am enjoying this series but it has turned a bit mystic, in places it is frankly boring. Get on with it.

I am persevering because I cannot think of other DVD's I want to watch and I am hoping it will get going again.

It is probably deliberate but it is also a sad demonstration of American attitudes and foreign policy. It could be a deliberate satire of the Iraq/Guantanamo Bay senario.

Just a catch up episode ready for this season, so it does tend to flash back and forward. Very good if you had forgotten what had happened. Unfortunately for me this was a wasted rental, as I had remembered it all!
