Could have been a lot betterBy a customer , 11 Sep 2011
[Highly rated reviewer]I'm not quite sure what I expected when I rented this film, given that it's basically a re-telling of Beauty and the Best set in modern times, but I just found the whole film rather slow and very boring. While the story unfolded pretty quick, it seemed that it took a long time for anything to happen, which is odd considering that the film is only 80 mins long! This is just another predictable teen romance film, and frankly there are far better ones out there to watch.

A good modern twistBy Dawnifer (6 reviews) , 01 Nov 2013Really good film. Very modern, wasnt so much of a fan of Hudgens as the 'Belle' character but the chemistry was good and the story flowed nicely. x

beauty is in the eye of the dvd holder....By sarahKThomson (29 reviews) from Sevenoaks , 22 Aug 2013This was worth watching once but I wouldn't waste my time watching it again. I found it slightly boring. he visual photography was good and the story wasn't bad. But is not for me.
Don't do it.By a customer , 21 Aug 2013I thought this film was really, really bad. The acting is dire and although the story line is based on a classic, it was boring, underdeveloped and unconvincing. I was looking for something cheesy and entertaining to watch at the weekend; it delivered the cheesy, but unfortunately not the rest. I did watch it all the way through as I wanted to check how it ended, but I wish I'd never started it. Its only saving graces were Neil Patrick Harris and a reasonable soundtrack. My advice - only watch it if you really, really have nothing else to do.
Beautiful and empoweringBy a customer , 26 Jul 2013It was amazing. I loved how Kyle learnt how to see the beauty in simple things like roses and poems. I didn't like so much how some lines were a bit forced, and a bit 'cheesy', but other than that it was beautiful and empowering.
