I have been a fan of Tribe since the Can i Kick it days..
This doc gives you a pretty good insight to what made the band tick and how they got to where they are now.
The main theme of the doc is the relationship between Tip and Phife... a love / hate thang. We also get to see the rise and fall of the band and the journey inbetween... interesting stuff.
If ur a fan of Tribe or Hip-Hop music in general then this of course is a must.. Although I would recommend it to anyone who has an interest in music.- Was this review helpful to you?

(2)More beaten than beats
By zorilla (221 reviews) from Kew, Richmond , 08 Jan 2013An insight into a band who were once so exciting but whose moment has long since passed. Michael Rapaport tries to tell the story of a group of high school friends who are bonded through life by their innovative use of beats and rhymes. What he actually shows us is a band who lost their spark and direction years ago, had at best, mediocre solo careers and so now, even though they don't really like or even talk to each other, are on a treadmill of tours and festivals in order to cover medical bills and pay for the trappings of fame. It seems very telling that as we watch the arc of their career from NY kids to stadium fillers, we also see their audience become increasingly white, y'know wot I'm sayin, blud?- Was this review helpful to you?
