Brilliantly dark filmBy xxamukxx (21 reviews) from Greenhithe , 17 Feb 2013
[Highly rated reviewer]I was sceptical about this movie, but pleased that I was very wrong. I enjoyed the storyline and special FX. The characters were also great. Great acting, especially by the two newcomers, Alden Ehrenreich and Alice Englert . I also enjoyed the nice twist in the storyline at the end. I see a fair few films and I have to admit that I don't often give 5 stars.

Dreadful movieBy kevins (23 reviews) , 08 Dec 2013the acting is dire and the script is appalling It might appeal to the Twilight lovers if they can get past the banality of it all but we had to turn off after an hour as we could stand it no more
deeply tediousBy cheesekake (1498 reviews) from uk , 06 Dec 2013Really couldn't get into this film. It just seemed to drag on. I even forwarded it on to see if anything good was to happen but nope it was still dragging
read the book insteadBy a customer , 05 Dec 2013If you haven't read the book then this film is probably ok but if you have read the book that's obviously more than the scriptwriter did!!! They have left out so much . The book is only ok as they have taken many ideas from other films and books but to leave out so much which adds to the story is pretty poor.
Better than I thoughtBy SuperSaint (343 reviews) from Market Harborough , 29 Nov 2013It would be! Adverts everywhere. Said will give it a go but strangely got into it. Good fun so worth the watch
Dull but entertaining.By Zebras22 (116 reviews) , 20 Nov 2013Very average and trying to be a successor of the twilight movies. Generally entertaining and the special effects are very good. A slow plot line does not help the story in the least, Overall it fails in all counts.
