This made-for-video sequel to the wonderful 1991 Disney animated musical fantasy Beauty and the Beast finds Belle still a prisoner in the castle and attempting to convince the Beast to celebrate Christmas. While many in the voice cast return (including Angela Lansbury, David Ogden Stiers and Jerry Orbach), it doesn't have the production values or charm of the original, but it should enchant young children if not their more fussy parents. The Sixth Sense's Haley Joel Osment replaced Bradley Pierce as the voice of Chip, the little teacup.

Beauty and the Beast Christmas Special

This is an excellent addition to an excellent original movie. My 3-year old adores Beauty and the Beast, and I was afraid this would be a let-down but not at all. All the original cast, the original graphics, some original songs and a good plot. There is a 'scary organ', which might mean under 3's watching with an adult, but all is well in the end. Highly recommend this movie.

    An enchanted movie!!

I dont quite get the other reviews saying the storylines aren't great, if that is what you are after... don't go to cartoons, and if you are looking for cutting edge animation... don't go for something 10 years old...Having said that, if you are looking at this you,or someone you know, probably loved beauty and the beast and probably loves christmas too. In which case, you are likely to really enjoy this, as I did and all these years later, I still do! It is really Christmasy, a nice little warm and fuzzy film and not easy to get hold of any more either. Get some mince pies, hot chocolate and put your feet up and enjoy!
