Beaver Rises

Thought I was renting a film, but it turned out to be a 6 episode tv series, yes the humour is similar to inbetweeners but both me and my wife thought the humour far more maturely written and funny throughout with some good old fashioned smut thrown in. Worth sticking with, both to see how the weird relationships develope between the 3 brits lads and their group of american misfits they are given to look after and of course the gorgeous girls camp helpers they drool over. Last episode was the funniest. Would definitely recommend if you fancy a reality break and a laugh.- Was this review helpful to you?

Beaver Falls Short
By Jungman (2 reviews) , 10 Sep 2012So near but yet so far...
Where the inbetweeners hits the target, Beaver Falls falls misses enough to tell myself 'No...'.
This film masquerades as an intelligent, sharp and cuttingly 'in your face' contemporary comedy... but reveals at most points its true face of americanised drule.
More of a decent fake than an original. This formula laden meander could almost pass as a 'finger on the pulse', morally edgy masterpiece but more attention to detail betrays its less than masterful creativity.
I could easily con myself that this is watchable if only to switch off from the pressures of the day and possibly even have a few inner smirks along the way but then I remind myself that life and time is finite so it's good to be discerning about what we watch especially when there are better choices out there.- Was this review helpful to you?
