Funny yet thoughtful!By a customer from North London , 18 Feb 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]I think any woman can relate to this film: a mother who finds it difficult to accept her baby daughter has grown up and is a person in her own right! The film and script was dealt with in a very intelligent and funny way. But the REAL story is not so much about the mother trying to make love happen for her daughter, but in reality she realised it was herself and her lack of love in HER life that she was running away from. The end is sweet. Watch it, it's a really good film.

Mother knows best?By a customer from Dorset , 13 Mar 2010As a mother of 2 daughters I was curious to see this film. I can only say that I was/am never as obsessed as Diane Keaton was in interfering in her daughters' lives.
It was amusing to begin with but I felt her insistance in meddling wore a little thin towards the end of the film. I generally like Diane Keaton in her films so she was the reason for watching it.
A chick flick for those with patience!
because i said soBy uniqueP (1 review) from streatham london , 11 Mar 2010The mother was a control freak and i found very interfering and annoying...
I was glad when her daughter stood up interfering attitude, and was glad that she found a new love and got married...
daughters can now move on in life..
Because I Said SoBy a customer from Ledbury , 09 Mar 2010Utter drivel...don't waste your time or money on this one. Despite being pregnant, my husband away in the week for work and a 2 year old asleep upstairs - so in effect best friends with the sofa and unable to go out much - I still couldn't bring myself to sit through to the end of this awful film...and I will readily admit my shameful addiction to chick-flick type films so it's not like I have particularly high standards! Diane Keaton...you should be ashamed....is work really this scarce??
Chick FlickBy a customer from Chesterfield , 09 Mar 2010Defo a chick flick but really good!
DeadfulBy a customer from Petersfield, England , 26 Feb 2010This film is just dire. Diane Keaton is annoying to the point of wanting you to just turn the film off. The plot is boring and even my wife whose loves a chick flick thought this was one of the worst films ever.
