Extended, restored, not perfect but brilliant.
By a customer , 23 Apr 2013An extended edition of a much loved Disney family film. I saw this at the cinema in the 70's and again on VHS in the 90's but this DVD version is much better. The restoration, though a litle patchy in parts, has brought into the film scenes which have long been lost. Sadly though, some of the soundtracks on these scenes must have either been lost or were beyond repair as they have been voiced over. Also sadly, the choice of voiceover artists leaves a lot to be desired; David Tomlinson's voiceover is too sharp and deep and at one point Tessie O'shea sounded like a welsh woman from Pakistan. (The Welsh accent is difficult to fake and if done badly can edge over into a characture of a bad Pakistani accent). Also, the animated scenes looked a little rough in texture; which was quite off putting. The Portobello road scene is far too long for my liking too. However, negative points aside, the film was better than ever. Well done to all involved. I would highly recommend this version.- Was this review helpful to you?

Fun classic
By Billie2309 (2 reviews) , 31 Jan 2013Such a fun film. I remember watching this as when I was little (so i'm only 22) and I just loved everything about it; the music, the animation and the magic. Such a great family film.- Was this review helpful to you?
