INTERESTING GENERAL VIEWING AND ESSENTIAL FOR ANYONE WITH AN INTEREST IN RAP OR HIP HOP. GREAT LIVE FOOTAGE FROM THE OLD SKOOL AND SOME DISTURBING STUFF FROM THE LATER EXPONENTS IN THE GAME WHEN THINGS TURNED UGLY/VIOLENT - MAD STUFF! WELL PUT TOGETHER WITH A STRONG ANTI-VIOLENCE PRO-HIP HOP MESSAGE AND FLASHES OF HUMOUR THAT SHOULD GET YOU CACKLING AMIDST SOME OF THE BLEAKER SUBJECT MATTER. CRACKING!
Starting off as a fun documentary the film goes on and gets very dark and disturbing when it shows the anger that goes beyond music when it clashes with rival rappers.
Surprisingly the film highlights the danger of the negative and turns it into a positive message as well as giving a well balanced discussion on the reasons behind the arguments and disses, almost as a sociological reasoning.
Not just for hip hop fans, this well put together documentary is insightful and mature and well worth a look in.
'Now Add One come hollar at me and lets battle!' Edger out.
