Presumably dog-tired after his exertions in the first two films, Charles Grodin here hands the leash to Judge Reinhold for the huggable St Bernard's third adventure. Clearly realising that the underwritten script is short on laughs, Reinhold overcompensates by playing each scene as if it were an amateur-dramatics pantomime. Consequently, the action isn't remotely hilarious and even children who find slobber amusing will be bored before the end. Julia Sweeney as Reinhold's wife manages to keep her embarrassment at bay, but you'll find it hard to be so undemonstrative.
The Newton family from the original Beethoven movies are on vacation this time in an expensive RV and again Beethoven saves the day and entertains the children with funny antics and the loveable dog factor. Excellent Family Film.
Not very exciting, not to be watched again infact not very good.
