This is bad bad bad. Everyone in it is an idiot and you don't care one bit about a single person in the film. Look for something else, I think you will be glad.
This has to be one the best 'Feel Bad' movies I have ever scene. The only thing which saves this film from not being switched off mid run are the solid performances by Phillip Seymour-Hoffman and Albert Finney. This coupled with my morbid fascination to see if things can get any worse makes it watchable but sadly not much more. Ethan Hawke makes a very convincing loser but I would recommend that if you have to watch this film that you do it with no sharp objects in view - as it certain does not bring out the sunshine.
