Was looking forward to this film but definately disappointing. It was surprising as it had some great actors but just didn't seem to get going at any point.

If your planning to watch this don't bother. One of the worst films I have seen this year so far!

Like Dorian Gray but without the good storyline and very shallow, unlikeable characters. Couldn't believe it when it ended as there was no cliffhanger or moral message or anything normally associated with the end of a film, particularly given the nature of the story. The sight of Pattinson giving it some now and again wasn't even enough to save it, very disappointing in all!

Mr. Pattinson's smile in the most untimely manner was so off putting. I think it was deliberate to show how vulnerable he was in his role. It was perfect as it made me feel uneasy. He was a pawn that rose above all odds. Just goes to show that if you have money, it does mean that you are smart. People who have nothing to lose are the ones you should fear the most.

  • Good film

I thought it was a good adaptation of the book. The portrait of a shallow, not intelligent man who uses people to get where he wants. It is a long book with lots of detail and this can't be shown in the film, I think it makes the best job by way of an 'overview' as it were, of Georges character and behaviour.

I cannot decide whether I liked this film or not. The female leads are excellent and it's a pretty ok script. The reason I cannot decide is due to the main part played by Robert Pattinson. If his job was to make us dislike the character, then he succeeded. If that wasn't his job, then he failed. I detested the character so much that I very nearly stopped watching the film. I carried on watching but found it very difficult to have any sympathy for him at. Rent it and make your own minds up.
