    Belly of the Beast

Well I disagree with the other reviews, the fight sequences were as good if not better than usual the action was almost all the way through the film. So what if the plot was predictable and the same old thing and so what if he has put on a bit of weight around the middle, he is after all bless him getting on a bit now. If you like Steven Segal films the way I do, you will enjoy it. Good on you Segal keep up the good work. I think it was brilliant. But I do not like the love and sex angle as this is just not Steven Segal. Though fortuately there was not very much of it.

Pretty bog standard stuff from Seagal.....

After recently watching Steven Seagal in 'The Foreigner', I was almost tempted to remove this one from my selections...but I stuck it out and found it was much more his usual style of film.

The action was pretty good, not quite Seagal's best but enjoyable none the less, like 'The Foreigner' there was a lot of camera work used to disguise the fact that Seagal isn't as fast as he used to be. However here it wasn't quite as obvious or annoying, in fact some of it was very good.

The plot of the film was a bit nonsensical at best, this included some unneccesary mystical mumbo jumbo that left me wondering what the script writer was smoking at the time. The acting was also a bit wooden, but then this is a Seagal film.

Basically this film is a fairly lame excuse to string together a bunch of decent action scenes, if you liked Seagal's earlier work, (Marked for Death, Hard to Kill etc.) you'll like this.
