Nothing merry about this gay drama

This film is based on a famous play and it is basically a filmed play.
Although the acting is good, the action is slow and the subject matter - the appalling treatment of gay men in Nazi Germany - is very depressing.
Set mainly in a concentration camp, he whole thing is terribly downbeat and doesn't make for an entertaining two hours.
