Absolutely gutted, after seeing the bill posters and advertising I was expecting something quite good, what I watched was papp! Poorest animation i`ve seen in ages, was over before it got started and had nothing going for it except a story line that my nine year old daughter thought was only just O.K. Waste of time and money, just wish some one had reviewed it so I could have avoided it. Don`t hire this film, it`s rubbish. It`s almost like someone got a Danish childrens folk cartoon and tried to flog to the public as a real film.

Captures the essence of the original story

Excellent. I remember watching this at the age of thirteen on BBC2. Sensitively done, well animated and wonderfully narrated by Derek Jaconi. I was a bit annoyed to see a number of negative reviews when people got it mixed up with the Ray Winstone version which, quite frankly, looks like hollywood tripe. This animated version captures the essence of the original story!

ordered by mistake animated version not that good sent back with watching more then 10 minutes .

Short and bad

Very disappointing, but possibly my fault as I didn't check the details well enough (or they were scrambled in the changeover from Amazon). I was expecting a full feature film, not an uninspiring 30 minute animation.
