Thought this would be just your average 'Brit Flick' but it was far moer than that. Great acting and a moving story puts this ay above the standard! Great Stuff!

Fair acting, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is particularly good. Grim story though that doesn't really enthuse me, and, one that has some preposterous moments. My partner tells me that this a reworking of Steinbeck's 'Of Mice & Men'

A brilliant piece of British Film-making. Hard-hitting, plausible, and engaging, with excellent character portrayal. This very worthy of your time to watch.

This is only loosely based upon ideas from Of Mice and Men so don't expect a gritty urban update of the story. That said though, the film does work as a British drama about people lost in a world that they don't belong in. I did initially think that Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje had perhaps taken his portrayal of a Lennie type character a bit too far but it does work once the story comes together as a whole.

Turned this one off half way through,it's ok if you want to watch a mentally disabled geezer get the crap kicked out off him but this is not my cup of tea
