A solid workout - but simple!
, 29 Mar 2009
Tracey Long and her high impact and low impact demonstrators are fairly easy to follow. The only tricky bit is in the faster segments, where if you start a beat behind you can get slighly lost - but perhaps less than in most aerobics classes. The medicine ball and other props (a stick - I used a long duster, which must have looked a bit comic - and a paper plate or cloth to make sure you can easily slide one of your feet around the floor) were used really well. Ideally, use a small medicine ball, not a netball sized one otherwise you won't be able to loop it around your leg, though I managed to get most of the move with the larger ball. The cardio genuinely warmed me up and I definitely felt that it was a total workout as well as focussing on the glutes. The buttocks were worked in several ways and at several angles, and all the right muscles were slightly aching the next day, so I can vouch for it targeting all the right bits.
