Directed by Troy Miller (Jack Frost), this is a disappointing comic attempt to update Johann David Wyss's famous novel, The Swiss Family Robinson. Dyan Cannon stars as a TV cook who finds it hard to ditch her Los Angeles comforts when her clan's South Seas vacation goes badly wrong. Her young co-star, Sarah Michelle Gellar, was about to shoot to fame playing the title role in the hit TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Dim-witted, ponderously performed slapstick featuring a comedian of very limited appeal.
Alot of great faces in this film and surprisingly Chris rock shows up here in his earlier days (pre-7-figure sum salary), and the comical timing in this movie constantly stays perfect just right to catch you at the end of your last laugh and throw you into your next fit. Defniatley a great film.
Liked the send up of ninja movies. Watch with an open mind and a funny bone to hand but if you want serious martial arts remember to read the title on the cover first. You get what you pay for and with this movie I paid for laughs.
This is probably the best Chris Farley film EVER, and Chris Rock, though a small part, is just as hilarious. Two great SNLs get together to make this GREAT movie. Well worth seeing

I absolutely loved this film. I just couldn't stop chuckling all the way through...maybe that's just my sense of humour but it was really, really funny. Chris Farley played a terrific part as the 'Great White Ninja' abandoned 'moses like' as a baby. Read the RADIO TIMES review above for details cos I don't want to give stuff away but watch it, it's hilarious if you have a good sense of humour!
The best ever movie. look forward to other great chris fayley movies in the future even though he is dead!. Very Funny and is called the great white ninji Hurroon complete idoit like many of americans.
Outstandingly bad for a Dennis Dugan movie. Couldn't even finish it. Title suggests more, but the first 30 minutes flaps around in Hong Kong Phooey territory, very puerile, no exposition of what's to come. The comedian in the lead role isn't funny, perhaps not an actor, reminded me of Benny Hill.
No matter how many times I watch this film I always have a laugh or two. Chris Farley plays his part well providing us with slapstick comedy that never fails to have me chuckling. Classic.
