I remember myself as a little girl having tea and watching this show every afternoon with my mother. She died when I was just 13 and this makes me remember her with love. She adored this show.
A new exectutive producer for series three, and a lightly jazzed-up end theme, but otherwise most things have stayed the same for Darrin and Samantha the witch, although it's impossible not to regret the passing of Alice Pearce from the role of nosey neighbour Gladys Kravitz. The new actress just isn't the same, and the part has been shrunk to such an extent it's clear that audience research agreed. (There's also a new Mrs Tate, but that doesn't matter so much). All the other favourite characters are back, with Marion Lorne's batty Aunt Clara getting a lot of episodes and, pleasingly, Paul Lynde's irrepressible Cousin Arthur also turning up twice. One very bad episode, about a local soapbox derby; one, strangely, without Darrin in it at all; otherwise, an excellent collection of nostalgia for all the family.
