This was a very accurate portrayal of Esther and her role in saving her people. The acting was very good and it brought to life a very important part of Bible history, remaining faithful to the biblical account yet also being entertaining too. I look forward to watching more in the series.
Timelife films can never compete with big budget movies, but this compact bible story is a faithful adaption and representas a step in the right direction. They keep to the bible narrative closely, which reflects the ancient empire's laws and use of language. The Ester account fits a 1.5 hour movie very well. If you are not familiar with the book you should find it also builds suspense to.
