A bit disappointing

I wouldn't normally admit to this, but I quite like Adam Sandler films - they're OK for children to watch and you can be fairly sure that there's nothing too offensive. I have to say though that this was a bit of a letdown - the main character was a bit of an idiot and not even really a sympathetic idiot. I can't see why any woman would fall for him and his parenting 'skills' were cringingly bad (OK, I know it's a comedy and not supposed to be taken seriously, but honestly...). Only for a rainy day when there's nothing much else to do....
