If you are a food lover and love the passion that a chef puts into his food, love foreign eccentricities and especially italian influenced music - this film is a must. Have watched it 4 times now and forcing my partner (himself a passionate chef) to watch it. The plot: 2 brothers trying to make their restaurant work - one who is businesslike and wanting desperately to make ends meet - the other not willing to compromise the way food should be prepared, cooked and served - hit on a idea to have a last attempt, put all their hopes into a Big Night. The way he chops the food in the kitchen, carefully throwing his tie over his shoulder, is sheer choregraphy - absolutely delightfuly to watch. Funny, sad, moving. The music is superb. Love it all. One of my all time favorites.
