There's nothing wrong with this DVD except that most of the material is delivered with more energy, style and timing in Bill's One Night Stand DVD. So do yourself a favour and order that one instead if you like your comedy to have a touch of bite and not the slightest hint of political correctness.
This dvd is pretty much word for word One Night Stand, out of the hour theres maybe 5 minutes new material! Just a blantant attempt to squeeze a few more quid out of Bill Hick's memory.
Bill Hicks was a genius who was taken from us too soon. However his comedy is more powerful today, especially after events like the Gulf Wars have unfolded. He will make you re-think your views on issues you may have considered taboo..but above all else you will laugh until you hurt. A must see for any comedy fan.

i first saw relentless as a student over ten years ago and was delighted, as young layabouts tend to be, by how confrontational and offensive he was. this time round, i was uncomfortable for the first 15 minutes, not sure if it was funny, and taken aback by just how aggressive bill hicks was. the more i watched, the more unflinchingly true his observations stuck me as and the more i laughed, frequently despite myself. by the end i remembered why he was/is lauded as a difficult, unlikely comedic genius. painful. but brilliant.

God sent his only begotten son back to earth and we killed him AGAIN.Ha ha ha.Its ok bill we still haven,t got the jist yet, come back when theres not a bush in the whitehouse. We would love to hear your witticisms about the war on terror.Humans are so coooooool, come back soon we miss your style.
this is taken from the prologue of the dvd,
'every effort has been made to present the best-looking and sounding program
Sadly, although a master-quality copy of the complete relentless program no longer exists, an edited sourch (missing one segment) was located
Because bill's performance is so fantastic and this is widely regarded as his breakthrough set, we have presented this program complete (with the missing segment inserted in lesser quality).'
chapter 8 is of reduced quality, this doesnt 'spoil' the content as some reviews have said (amazon's for instance), if you havent seen it this is worth every minute.
Bill Hicks was the funniest man to ever walk this earth! This was the first performance I saw and in my mind is one of his best. Although he is dead he does seem to live on through his material and its relevance to current affairs...thanks to President Bush!!!
For me the delivery was inconsistent, he went on too much trying to push each 'joke' home, hence the title relentless.
Despite the absence of a master copy of this set, the audio quality is fine throughout, the picture quality is okay too. The set is described as Hicks' breakthrough set and is okay but Hicks' other stuff is even funnier.
Bill Hicks was a very special man. I first found him when I was an arsey teenager in the late 80s. The world was my lobster and I thought I knew everything. Well I was wrong. Now Bill Hicks, he knew everything.
His understanding and observation of the American shame was years ahead of its time. He unearthed some of the seedier sides of 'the free world', and mercilessly ridiculed them. TV evangelists look-out.
Treated fairly badly by the mainstream TV mafia in the US, he came to the UK. We loved him. We wanted him. We understood him.
Taken too soon in his early 30s. The social poet is sorely missed.
Bill Hicks - Legend - RIP
we often bandy the word 'genius' without truly thinking of its meaning. Bill really is a head and shoulders above many other genius's ( genii ? ). What a brain, what a legend. I laughed so much i cried.
