    [Highly rated reviewer]

Bionic Commando is innovative, action packed and very original. I have never played anything like it, great fighting system, great story and the swing system is very fun. The graphics are not great but the game makes up for it in other respects.

A lot of people are put off by the difficulty of this game, but I really enjoyed it. If you like a challenge then rent this game, you won't regret it!

The game started off ok, a nice arcade feel to it, once i got the controls down I started enjoying it. UNTIL robots come down, not my kind of game. I guess i should have read about the before I bought it

well its one of those game that you love or hate, well for me its started as, why on earth did i rent this garbage, then i gave it more play time then it grew on me, the swing action have to get used to, fighting mechanics was a pleasure, but those constant silly death gets irritating, story wasnt bad, if you want something different i do recommend you give it a try you might grow to like it:)

  • Long initial load time prevents interest in play.

Put the disc in the machine (PS3), was then told it would take 40 minutes minimum to 'load'. Cancelled that, took the disc out of the machine, put it in the envelope, sent it back.

This isn't the early 90's, it's not a tape loader. It's not /that/ complex a game that it needs to spunk Gigs of data onto my PS3's HD. Can't this just be played from the fn disc like every other fn game I get a hold of?

I'm a casual gamer and can't be bothered with loading times and the like... That's why I have a console. Disc in, game on, play underway.

It's not good enough and can GTFO. Next...

I really enjoyed this game, the gameplay feels pretty solid but the controls can be a pain to learn, even on a second playthrough you'll frequently mess up a swing. The story is quite engaging if somewhat confusing to begin with, and some aspects are just plain wierd, for example... the city in the game has been nuked, so is full of radiation and has been flooded, so what do they send in? a hero whose two biggest weaknesses are? radiation and water...

This game is very enjoyable though, there are loads of levels and a huge variation in settings. I'd definately recomend this, its very fun and the audio and visuals are very nice. The only thing letting it down is that the controls can be a bit dodgey at times, and the collision detection doesn't alwasy work. (the character can fall/slide of thin platforms despite if they 'should' be sanding still).

    other than that, good game.

I didnt like the swinging around, too difficult I like a challenge but i want to be challenged by enemies or goals not by just moving around. the graphics werent that great either. Overall it was very disspointing.
