Exhibits considerable potential
It's not often that the americans make something with this much hype and make a mess of it. I mean, seriously, did we jinx it because of a british actress taking the lead role?! In all honesty though, I thought Michelle Ryan was perfectly cut out for it. She was really great and reminded me of Jennifer Garner in Alias. Infact, pretty much all the cast were fine. It was unfortunately the writing that let this series down. Strangely though, the first episode was really good, I was really getting into it. Then suddenly the quality just seemed to plummet drastically with episode two. The script was awful and the screenplay for the action scenes was complete crap. There was no imagination with the plots at all, and it soon became boring and highly cliched with some really cliched characters. And loads of times there were things left totally unexplained, characters that never seemed to have a reason to exist. Confusing. The special effects were generally fine, although there was the odd naff bit occasionally. The worst thing for me was the bionic abilities. Where were they?? I thought she was supposed to be the billion dollar woman. So why does she struggle to take out a single untrained civilian(episode 6 i think)? I could've kicked that guy's ass for crying out loud! And in the second episode she gets completely beaten up by a soldier. I was waiting for the bit where he turned out to be bionic aswell. But no, he was just a normal soldier. Other than the first episode, the fight scenes were generally lame. Billion dollars, eh? What a waste of money!
not as good the as the old one with lidsey wagoner
