Nicole Kidman is a star and she feeds off our desire for her. She can give us the pretty little next-door girl look or the sexual wanton via various options in between. This is not a Kidman film that is well known; a low budget British production partly filmed in for its interiors in Australia while then hubby Tom Cruise was there shooting Mission Impossible 2. That may be the reason why so much looks like a film set rather than a lived in house. It starts as an amusing romcom, moves by stages to unpleasant violent crime and to what looks like an implausible ending. Never mind, feast your eyes (and ears) on Ms Kidman and enjoy the bumpy ride.
