A first rate Aussie drama, although at times it did play like a superior tv movie. The prevailing sense of racism which is so apparant throughout, was a slur on Australian and world politics throughout the 50's and 60's, and this trial could have been in London, New York or S Australia where it takes place. Cast is first rate and the script far more intelligent than in most American movies. It almost does not matter if the black man accused of murder did or did not do the crime, by the end politics had taken over.
