Excellent film!By a customer from London, England , 05 Mar 2005
[Highly rated reviewer]Great film. Yes, it is ever so slightly dated now, but still very watchable indeed. It's not action packed, so you require a brain to enjoy it. If you don't have one, may I suggest Van Helsing :)
Basically the plot is: woman marries men for money, then kills them, moves on, assume new ID and starts again. FBI try to stop her (D Winger).
The two actresses hold great chemistry (although there are no lesbian scenes in it, but a lot of subtext a la Xena) together with their cat and mouse game.
The script is tight, the plot great and the direction, lighting and sound are just what you would expect.
Nothing lets this film down at all.

Just so-so.By Antiquary (52 reviews) from Aberdeen , 25 Jul 2010Well - good enough. The story is catchy and has an attention-holding pace, the principal character (the lady detective) contrives to be capable, determined and likeable, and the acting all round is competent enough to keep the story going. But - nail-biting suspense, stomach-gripping thrills - 'fraid not. It's easy-going and lightweight compared to the classic goodie-tracking-baddie films we know. All right for an idle evening, but no more than that.
wrong reviewBy AbisterKnuckly (1 review) from London , 02 Mar 20102010/03/02 - The radio times review shown that begins 'Elizabeth Montgomery proved once again that she could do more than comedies such as Bewitched...' is actually for the similarly titled 'The Black Widow Murders: The Blanche Taylor Moore Story'. That was about a real life multiple murderer whereas this is lighter glossier stuff.
Quite enjoyable though and Teressa Russell and Debra Winger make for very attractive leads
