Fantastic movie
By SarahandManoj (2 reviews) from Salisbury , 08 Jul 2008[Highly rated reviewer]
Black and White is a superb movie. It's such a serious subject, I wasn't sure if Bollywood would pull it off, but this movie is so refreshingly different than so many Bollywood movies. The characters have real depth and you can get inside their heads. The acting is top-quality. Newcomer Anurag Sinha is amazing and perfect for the role of the suicide bomber. His acting is very understated, but you build a relationship with him throughout the film, however, you don't know what he's really thinking and so you don't know how the movie will end.
I would recommend this movie even if you're not a fan of Bollywood, however, there are a lot of cultural references (especially to illustrate Hindu/Muslim conflict) which you wouldn't necessarily pick up on if you're not familiar with that culture. Nevertheless, you would still get a lot from this film and it's still definitley worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?

(6)Thoroughly enjoyed
By Dodger19_7 (13 reviews) from Pinner , 15 Oct 2012Acting is superb from Anil Kapoor.
This was a good film dealing with a very difficult subject.
I really enjoyed seeing all the sites in Delhi.
This is not your typical bollywood film with over-dramatic scenes and lots of lovey dovey smiles.
This is a film that tries to send a message.- Was this review helpful to you?

If we only act as we see......
By Ritz21 (4 reviews) from Edinburgh , 19 Jan 2012A beautiful film. Unrealistic, but were not the moral stories and fairy tales of childhood unrealistic as well. Incredible pace and amazing performance by the new comer Anurag.
If the unrealistic become real, it will be a peaceful world !- Was this review helpful to you?

A must see film
By KIRAN SIDHAR from London , 04 Apr 2009Its a shame it will possibly not be seen by many because of the subject matter. All credit to the director, writer, and the actors who have supported the project with full commitment and the results are there to see. It is not a glamorised film like Dil Se and Bombay, which also had similar theme of terrorism, but more truer version about the mind of a terrorist. However, it is not a film with answers or lessons. It is just another tale, told well.- Was this review helpful to you?
