The Best of Amitabh
By Vinod Warrier from England , 16 May 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
This is undoubtedly the best Amitabh movie. He has given stunning performance. Equally praisworthy is the performance of Rani Mukherjee and the girl who acted her childhood. It's a true dedication to Hellen Keller. Kudos to Sanjay Leela Bhansali- Was this review helpful to you?

(162)Well worth watching
By Terminato (4 reviews) , 15 Sep 2012A great film and well worth watching if you can get past the Charlie Chaplin walk. I understand the deaf and dumbness but where did the walk come from. Keep the tissues nearby.- Was this review helpful to you?

Takes itself too seriously
By JDahl (3 reviews) , 24 Apr 2012A Bollywood attempt at a serious film, but is well wide of the mark compared to similar films. It should be gritty and serious but the promising start descends into flailing arms and ham acting. Disappointing given the beautiful setting and the excellent camera work.- Was this review helpful to you?

A star is born....
By aishahlex (18 reviews) from Sheffield , 22 Dec 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
Was told not to bother with this film but i really enjoyed it. Not your typical indian film but what a refreshing change! The acting was exceptional from Amitabh & Rani. little Ayesha was outstanding.- Was this review helpful to you?

Too long a film for the the amount of story
By a customer , 05 May 2011Beautiful settings; a few sparks of humour; good performances...but far too long for what is a very simple story. I wanted to like it but it lost my interest.- Was this review helpful to you?

Tough Going
By 5ft7offootballheaven (300 reviews) from London , 14 Apr 2011Sorry - I couldnt get into this one. Gave it a good hour. Mildly engaging but found it pretty unsubtle and obvious. Like being hit in the face with the plot - again and again...and again. I am sure its worthy and heartwarming in the end. I watched a documentary instead. No regrets.- Was this review helpful to you?
