Some of the best of British TV from the 80s

This is some of Rowan's finest work and compensates for his Mr Bean imago. The series was some of the best British TV of the decade. Now for fans of the history of humor, rather than the mainstream, but worth every second for dedicated laughers.

The cast is entirely made up of idiots what make you wonder how they ended up running the country but they are hilarious. It has a constant stream of jokes to keep you laughing all the way through. IMHO, The best series of Blackadder
By Chucklehead73 (2 reviews) , 19 Mar 2013I think this is the best series of Blackadder (with 'Goes Forth' running an extremely close second) because it isn't just a series of nob gags (because Ben Elton wasn't involved). I also like the fact that Blackadder is a sniveling coward and Baldrick is quite clever!!- Was this review helpful to you?

This first installment of Blackadder doesn't quite live up to the subsequent episodes in the first and following series but is worth a watch for a fan or anyone else (like myself) who wasn't quite around when it was first aired or hasn't seen re-runs and would like to know how it all began.- Was this review helpful to you?
