I prefer Rowan Atkinson as Mr. Bean. Somehow he didn't seem quite as funny in this Blackadder series which contained rather more dialogue than action.
Superb, i just had to watch one episode after another. Time has done nothing to diminish this series. The setting is the British trenches during the 1st world war and you are treated to Richard Curtis and Ben Elton's somewhat ridiculous vision of the relationship between the different levels of the officers and men. If you only watch one thing with Rowan Atkinson this is a must. Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, Tony Robinson and Tim McInnerny are all excellent.
