Visually spectacular, intensely action-packed and powerfully prophetic since its debut, Blade Runner returns in Ridley Scott's definitive Final Cut, including extended scenes and never-before-seen special effects. In a signature role as 21st-century detective Rick Deckard, Harrison Ford brings his masculine-yet-vulnerable .. Read more

Why cant we rent this out, I would like an explanation?
I'm guessing (particularly with Christmas around the corner) that this is why you can't rent it out just yet. There is probably a grace period before they can let this one go for rental.

Put simply this is the greatest movie ever made. This new final cut (released in december 2007) had been fully restored and added to in order to give Scotts final vision. RENT IT!!
I used to have a copy of this film on VHS copied off the TV and i i thought it was the best looking film i had ever seen - this will melt your eyeballs- ridley scott has run the film through the latest technology gubbins and wow!- it is so crystal clear, defined, beautiful - an absolute masterpiece- every single frame of film is a visual treat and the central story - about the meaning of being human is heartbreaking - especially rutger hauers final speech.
... and it kicks ass! Why we can't rent it here is beyond me. It's such a fantastic quality movie and the redigitalisation makes it amazing. Yes the PCs are a bit dated in this movie and no I don't think 2019 will look quite like that but it's still a great story.
Everyone knows how brilliant this film is. In all it's incarnations. I'm not going to hold out for the 4th re-cut before I declare it finished however. I'm drawing a line right here and now and saying enough!
Blade Runner is perfect. A bit cold and austere but given how it has re-shaped Sci Fi permanently in it's shadow over the last 20 years I'll take it just how it is thanks.
So we have the Theatrical Version, The Directors Cut and and now this. Stop. Do us a new innovation rather than tweaking an already brilliant one again.
I have 4 cuts of the Exorcist on DVD, 2 of Apocalypse Now, 3 of Star Wars, 2 of The Wicker Man and 3 of Brazil. Lovely stuff and all but it's always been the version I saw first which sticks.
So Mr Scott stop tweaking. Stop worrying, stop shooting for the moon.
It's been brilliant all along, And we've always loved it.
Uncle Ridley
If only you could see what I've seen with your eyes.
