    Far from slick

This oil rig based 'Under Siege' boasts an utterly illogical plot, dull action sequences and worst of all, an excruciating turn from our own Vinnie Jones. At the very least, a film like this should make you smile at how big, dumb and fun it is. Instead, all copies of 'Blast' should be gathered together and exploded in a controlled detonation.

reminds me of steven seagal's 'under seige'

Wasnt expecting much as i havent seen this advertised anywhere even though it's been out for a while. Storyline is nearly the same as 'under seige'. navy seal takes on the bad guys out at sea. Was worth a watch, wouldnt watch again nor buy it for anyone. Has a hint of 'DIE HARD'. BLAST has a decent cast, a reasonably good screenwriter, and a fair share of laughs. Direct-to-DVD was the right choice for the film. It's better than most direct-to-dvd fare due to the charm of Eddie Griffin and his chemistry with Breckin Meyer. If it weren't for Vinnie Jones as the baddie, BLAST would truly be a waste of time. 3/5, it will be better then anything on the telly.

Just look away, its not pretty!

The most impressive part of the film is when Maverick & goose suddenly turn up, and then find some Migs on the way out......... Or it could just be that the film is really badly cut & better films have been stuck into it to give it a bit of class.

Overal rating...... Turn over & watch Coming Dancing..... its more funny & got a better storyline.

    Cheers
