What I didn't like about this game was the character you play being American. Like they could match the RAF.

Apart from that upset I thought the game was fantastic, the controles take some time to get used to but you do get an optional training level. The game lets you use the motion sensitve controler as an option which is alot of fun but much harder to use.

The graphics of the battle locations you are in are absolutly stunning elspcially when over lodon protecting the houses of parlement during the blitz.

I would say this is one of the best games out on the PS3.

The game has a lot of promise, but never quite lives up to it. The graphics are less than stellar by PS3 standards, and yet the game slows to a crawl every time you fly through an explosion. The controls are simple and fun, but far too much of your time is spent strafing ground units with a fighter plane, which doesn't seem particularly realistic and is all-too-likely to end in an embarrasing crash. There are lots of US, British, German and Japanese aircraft to unlock throughout the game, but so far none of the fighters are as good as the Spitfire V that I got about three missions into the main campaign, so only the foreign dive bombers and naval planes get any real use. Each of your AI wingmen is a real character with his own unique ability to aid you, but in a dogfight they often seem to be pretty useless. And worst of all, the difficulty curve is very steep once you get past the first few missions, making completing some of the later missions a real chore.

Let's hope the sequel is better...

  • Hard but Fun

Not normally a fan of flying, i tested it out at a recomendation of a friend. And i can tell you i am glad i did. The controls are easy to master and you will soon be barrel rolling, looping and sweeping out enemies left, right and centre.

There are some very memeorable moments from the game such as the pearl harbour missions and raboul raid. The only reason it did not merit 5 stars was for the fact that the last mission was a major dissapointment, due to the fact that the 1st pard was so hard and the ending was so abrubt and easy!

    Definatley worth a rent!
