    Only the blind could enjoy!

I have never in my life considered writing a review for anything let alone a D.V.D, however I feel that I must on this occasion. This is by far the most unbelievably bad film in the history of the world, goodness knows how they managed to convince anyone to part with the cash to make it. No story line, bad acting and terrible cinematography. Do yourself a favour and remove your toe-nails instead of renting this, it' less painful!

Worse Than Root Canal Dental Treatment

Only rent this if you have a deep masochistic streak - very, very dull and depressing storyline. People die, but you don't care - they're lucky to be out of the film.

    Bored

Lack of dialogue, lack of interest, lack of anything. I didn't fall asleep watching it, my body just shut down with boredom.

blinded by science or this film?

This film seemed crap to start with but after the initial boring start I found the story had a few unexpected twist with it! Once the story unfolded it was surprisily good.

    Wanted to stop, but couldn't

I so wanted to stop watching this dreadful film but refused on principal. Next time I will ignore my principles and stop watching. It was trash, mind numbingly boring dribble...

Not as bad as some of the critics made out

After reading some of the previous reviews of this film and finding most people only gave a one star I decided as I usually do to watch the film for myself to make my mind up.

The film was a dark look in to the life of a drifter who ends up in remote Scotland looking for work and somewhere to stay. He winds up living in the house of a Blind man, His elderly mother and his girlfriend. As the film goes on we start to see the story of each characters life unravel and we see the bitterness of the blind man and how he treats his family. At times the film seems to drift along very slowly and drearily without alot of dialogue or music and I think this might have put people off. I stuck to the end and enjoyed the outcome of the plot. I thought Jodhi may was good in this film as she is an actress I like anyway. Worth watching if you can stick to a slightly slow moving plot with not too many frills, after all this is no hollywood blockbuster.

    total rubbish

This was a lot of rubbish, had no plot and was a bit too far fetched, I would not advise anyone to rent this movie.

So awful it made me write my first review

I feel compelled to write my first review due to this film's dreadfulness. Slow, dull and boring even watching it at double the speed as I lost patience after 20 minutes. I would have felt I'd wasted my money had I not watched it at all so I battled on, but watching it twice as quickly made it more bearable even if it did make their voices sound funny. Watch it if you must but if like me, you've never written a review before you might get the urge to do so after suffering the way I did.
