The Coen Brother's first feature film, made with a very low budget, is still one of their best. A film where every character has a black side, this is film noir at its finest. Frances McDormand is the cheeting wife trying to get away from her bullying husband, Dan Hedaya in one of his best roles. John Getz is the man who wants to save her, and M. Emmet Walsh is the sleazy private eye who turns his investigation into a murder. Atmospheric with some great visuals, this film will stay with you long after the credits have rolled.
